STŪĶU BARN

Passion for local materials and crafts

A historic barn that has become a family gathering house in the beautiful landscape of Vidzeme. It reveals a great collaboration between the architect and the client and a passion for local materials and craft traditions, creating the layout of the building and its surroundings. Every corner and object speaks of the habits, interests, or memories of the building’s occupants. The architect’s imprint shows a responsible attitude towards the work, an ingenious view of details, and care for the historic environment. It is a place to return to, again and again.
