LATVIAN NATIONAL OPEN AIR STAGE
Recreation of the Latvian Song and Dance Festival heritage
The Mežaparks stage is one of the main open-air venues in Latvia, where major concerts and nationally significant events like the National Song and Dance Festival attract tens of thousands of participants and viewers to the green neighborhood of Mežaparks (literary translated as Forest park). The reconstruction and extension project is rooted in the idea of the stage as a sanctuary, where the platform of the stage resembles a mountain to climb, while the roof is a reminiscence of a silver grove.
